[SOLVED] operating system deleted/ drive not working

Hi im trying to fix a acer laptop that has its operating system deleted and the drive is saying it has no space im in command promt the drive doesnt show up while i do list volume in diskpart i have also tried to partition the drive with create partition primary but it gives me a error code saying a device which does not exist was specified even though i have the disk selected i have also tried to convert it to a mbr and a gpt and get the same error alt f10 doesnt work at all during boot up. any ideas how to fix the drive so i can put a copy of windows on it.

remove the drive and test it in a known functioning system.
it sounds like the drive has failed.
