Soooo , i am building a PC for my brother. He wants it to be able to run new games such as GTA V Just Cause 3 e.t.c. I have made a first build and i would like some opinions and maybe suggest some improvements. He is certainly not going to overclock soooo yeah..... I think he won't be needing a case , i will use his older one(decent case) and maybe upgrade later if needed. Also I will be ordering to Greece so the price indicated is probably lower than the actual one .Thanks in advance for your help

You have to replace the FX-8350 with an Intel i3-4150.

Performance wise It's very comparable but you'll save money so you can spend it on a better GPU.

At your budget an Intel i5 is not possible and your GPU will be a big priority.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i3-4160 3.6GHz Dual-Core Processor ($109.98 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: ASRock H97 PRO4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($83.89 @ OutletPC)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($62.95 @ OutletPC)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($52.49 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 960 2GB Video...
For that price I don't understand this suggestion.

Why? The Z87 chipset is older than the H97 chipset.

The only benefit of the Z87 is that you can overclock on that mobo but since your CPU isn't overclockable there is no point.

ASRock H97 Pro4 ftw.

Other than that it looks fine.

Hmmm thanks for the tip!(Is the micro-ATX better ??? Because i think it supports crossfire ) I have emailed the list to an expert. After he replies i will post the list , if you feel like it you can comment on it when i do so :)

I feel obliged to do something for you now :/ ! ,since you helped so much! If there is anything i could do please let me know 😀

I paid a bit more for the motherboard because I wanted a red/black system.

Also the audio-codec is a bit better than the standard motherboards but It's a shame it comes with the Realtek software which is very generic.

The difference is not so big but ofcourse, It's a good motherboard.

Ok I have an other recommendation from an other friend who is really into this stuff. I know it is more expensive , but i can get the mobo with 3 to 36 installments , which will definitely lighten the price! + There is an offer for the ram sticks (7€-off)

What do you think ?

First decide which case you are going to use. A small one (microATX) or a normal size one (ATX).

If you have decided on your case and you want that H97 Performance, It's up to you.

However, the ASRock H97 Pro4 is already good you know. All H97 motherboards are very comparable.

They will both perform the same way in the end but you might get better audio depending on your speakers/headset.

Ok i have a higher budget now! I can possibly go up to 700-750 euros! If you have the time, could you make a higher end build ?

Sorry it is in greek , but is this a good video card? It is better than the gtx , but can the processor handle it ?
Or should i buy a good case with airflow? :/
{+ A case with good airflow (couple of option if possible?)
+1TB Storage
+(an SSD maybe?)
+(A cpu cooler?)
}
Thank you soo much for your precious help!
