Opinion needed on stock CPU cooler

I have recently upgraded my PC and am still wondering whether I "should" install an aftermarket CPU cooler. I have an Intel 4690, without the "k". I am not planning to do any overclocking, but the load temps do worry me a little bit.

At idle the CPU temps with stock cooler is around 25°C and under load, i.e. converting a full movie with freemake video converter, the temps are between 68°C and 70°C. Is it still necessary to install an aftermarket cooler? Will it be worth it to get a small or low profile cooler?

your temps are okay, the stock cooler is doing what it is designed to do.
an aftermarket cooler may or may not cool it a little better, but it will do the same job with less noise.

70C to 75C is the maximum I would want to run my CPU for 24/7 use. You are fine. Spending $35 can probably bring that down by 5 - 8C.

You say " 68°C and 70°C", but is it throttling...? If the pc is calm i guess u should stick with it unless the noise bothers u. You're not overclocking so getting an aftermarket cooler just to give your self 10°C or less for 35$ or so is not really worth it. I won't encourage you to rinse cash on a aftermarket cooler since your not OCing, or if the fan aint bothering you and if the CPU temp is at normal temps at the moment.

At the moment I have an exhaust fan at the back and one tight above to CPU. With one intake at front. I am planning on adding another intake at front and another exhaust on top later this year
