opinions for htpc mid gaming

Just wanting some good opinions for a build I want to do.its going to be a small form factor media centre portable gaming PC. I want to know if new 5th generation CPU can be used in all the haswell m/boards or should I get the Asrock z97 micro itx one ?.i will put it in Silverstone g05 with one SSD.will have a separate NAS for extra storage. Just wondering wat graphics card should I use.something that will do 1080p and probably play games like bioshock. Something in the range 1200 - 1500 NZD. Any advice would be great thanks.

maybe a GTX 750ti or an R7 265 , they seam to be in the sweet spot for lower end cards at 1080p gaming not costing a lot plus being smaller cards to fit mini pc build
