Do any builders have an opinion on this gaming build:

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z68XP-UD3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68
Graphics Card: EVGA 01G-P3-1460-KR GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI
PowerSupply: PC Power and Cooling Silencer Mk II 750W
CPU: Intel Core i5-2400 Sandy Bridge 3.1GHz

Thanks

You might want to pick a better rated motherboard, the gigabytes are known for boot looping.

For $25 more you can get the i5-2500k and overclock the daylights out of it (its really easy) since you're going thru the expense of a z68 board, just be sure to get a decent cooler like the hyper 212+.

1) If you have the budget for a 2400, stretch it for a 2500K. It will be $25 more.
Your clock rate will go from 3.1 to 4.0 and higher when overclocked as the "K" is designed to do.

2) The psu is an excellent one, but needlessly strong for a GTX560. You really only need 450w. The 750w unit will handle as much as a GTX590.

3) Ram? get 8gb(2 x 4gb) of the cheapest ram. No more than ddr3-1600, and don't pay extra for heat spreaders which are not needed.

4) For a gaming build, spend as much of your budget as you can on the graphics card. That is the engine of a gamer.

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z68XP-UD3 LGA 1155 Intel Z68 <---- I like.
Graphics Card: EVGA 01G-P3-1460-KR GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI <---- I like.
PowerSupply: PC Power and Cooling Silencer Mk II 750W <---- I dislike that brand, but I do like the overkill. Change the brand, may I suggest coolermaster etc, always stick with the big brands.
CPU: Intel Core i5-2400 Sandy Bridge 3.1GHz <---- Bad, replace with i5 2500k, you spend an extra $30 on the cpu and an extra $30 on a HS and you suddenly have a beast computer.
