Opinions on Chinese GPU's? (Colorful, Yeston)

Hi everyone,

Recently I was looking around Gearbest and found out the huge amount of chinese based RX and GTX brands there are. Since it is (imo) something completely different from those scam cards often found on plattaforms such as Wish or eBay and are still cheaper than the ones I can find in the European market, I was planning to upgrade my old gtx 750 ti with a 1060 or a rx580 made by Yeston or Colorful.

I've found some reviews and they seem pretty legit, but I'd like to know if they are a good choice for a long term computer (I don't have a high-end pc, neither I plan to have one, but I'd like it to last at least for five or ten years). So has anyone tried or used any of these brands? My concerns are mostly about durability and the quality of the materials. Also I'd like to know about temperatures and the efficiency of the coolers.

Thanks guys!

Most of them are made in China or Taiwan anyways. Alot of companies purchase someone else's design and slap their name on it anyways. As long as it's a genuine nvidia chip, you probably be just fine
Colorful is legit, but I don't know about Yeston. One thing, the Chinese stuff(the legit ones) are very low budget in build quality and components. They are definitely aimed at people who want the performance as cheap as possible. So the cooling might not be that great, the fan may be noisy, etc. Also, I don't know how difficult customer service would be if you had a problem with one.

As a low budget gamer I've had experience with low quality videocards. Dealing with the noise got old, so I will spend a bit extra to avoid that now.

So, you wouldn't recommend it at all? Even for a price difference of about 120€ in the 1060 6gb would still not be worthy? (About 140 USD, more or less).

Anyway I'm not planning to upgrade until past a few months, so prices may change by then. I just want to know the opinion of these brand's users.

Thanks for the answers!

AFAIK colorful are slowly gaing reputation with their lineup. They probably even have some special edition GPU that is more expensive than what the likes of Asus/Msi/Gigabyte put out to the market. About the other one i never heard of it since i never saw it in my country.
