Hello!
I have just recently built my first pc by myself. Now I'm trying to find the best fan placement for cooling

I'm using the Sharkoon Skiller SGC1 Window case and 6 unexpensive coolermaster 120mm fans.
The case supports 1x fan on the back, 3x fans on the top and 2x fans on the front.
I have jerry-rigged a third fan on the front with zip-ties and now my settup is: 3x front, 1x back and 2x top nearer to the back

Today, while playing Rise of the tomb Raider, I checked all the exaust fans, and, to my surprise, only the fan on the back and the top one nearer the back were pulling hot air out.
The top middle one was exausting cool air out.

Is this bad?? Should I leave it be?
Should I move the middle top one near the front and use it as intake? Would it interfere with the front intake fans?
I'm a bit confused :confused_old:

Solution
The whole positive/negative pressure deal is a bit overblown in its importance.
You should do a dust cleaning every 6 months to a year regardless, and dust will settle into your system when you turn it off anyway.

I would either do 1 exhaust rear, 1 exhaust top, and 2 or 3 front intake.
