Hello guys, I was wondering, is 275 watts enough for a Core 2 Quad Q6700, R7 240 2GB low profile, 1TB harddrive, 3X2GB 1X1GB ram, 2 small fans, and a pci wifi card + I removed the CD drive to save more watts, as I do not use it, I went to http://www.coolermaster.com/power-supply-calculator/ put in all my specs and it says Load Wattage: 275 watts, Recommended PSU wattage: 325 watts, Im worried because Im not sure if coolermaster is accurate. Thank You

Yes, but please go to http://www.coolermaster.com/power-supply-calculator/ and INSERT NOTHING and press calculate, then it says load wattage 113, does that mean that the motherboard uses 113 watts? this is the main thing im worried about if it didnt say this I would have upgraded my computer by now.

The Core 2 Quad Q6700 is 105 watts and the Radeon R7 240 is 30 watts together they are 135 watts, the computer has 275 watts, so that means I need 140 watts free for the upgrade, are you guys sure, because the comuter came with orignally with a Core 2 Duo E6400, which is 65 watts, THAT MEANS they put a power supply nearly 210 watts more than they needed that does not sound right, but if it is correct that they put 210 watts more than needed please tell me, also please look at this https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yiKxH8Ip941jWFeXninGqx58M1k2AEdi/view it shows all my computer specs after ive upgraded the cpu and gpu (I upgraded the ram 3 months ago) in the psu calculator. Thank You for quick replies.

Asking the same thing and expecting a different answer won't get you anywhere except people repeating themselves. The quad core CPU is about 100 watts, the 240 card is 40 watts, max. Math is pretty simple from that.

Having a 245 watt power supply is normal for a small form business system.

Wouldnt it be too risky because it uses 130 watts that is almost half the max watts the power supply can handle?

Guys I will continue with the upgrade but instead of the Radeon R7 240 2GB (30w) I will purchase a Radeon R7 250 2GB (65w), also I added up all my parts watts,
Core 2 Quad Q6700 - 95 watts
Radeon R7 250 - 65 watts
Ram 7GB - 33 wats
1TB Hard Drive - 11 watts
2 or 3 small fans - 4 watts
All added up to 208 watts, that means approximately 67 watts free out of 275 watts, if there is anything wrong here or if there is anything that is not accurate please let me know. Thank You
