I have a dell optiplex 780 and I'm wondering if I can use the PSU in an atx case?If so, would the 255w be enough to power a gt 1030 and a pentinum g3258,or should I just use integrated graphics?

I don't know,all I know is that the computer its in has a btx form factor

It won't mount in an ATX case and being BTX could be proprietary and lack some connections.

Which model of Dell OptiPlex 780 do you have? Mini Tower, Desktop, Small Form Factor or Ultra Small Form Factor?

An ATX power supply will fit and work properly in the Mini Tower model. All of the other models use pretty much proprietary form factor power supplies.

The Mini Tower model was available with either the 305 W (non-EPA) or the 255 W (EPA) power supply unit.

The BTX computers used a standard PSU. The 24 pin ATX power connector came from BTX. That applies to the Mini Tower models, which were usually 305W PSU. The Desktop and smaller ones all used proprietary PSUs, and The SFF and USFF usually had smaller MB connectors.
