Optiplex 790 MT GPU upgrade

I want to upgrade this desktop with a GTX 960 4GB, will I need to upgrade anything else to make it work?

You could actually drop in an aftermarket PSU which is rated to deliver 500W of power to the entire system and is as close to Tier 1 as possible.

What are the specs to your OptiPlex 790 MT? Perhaps a ram upgrade is in order.

The GTX1050Ti and GTX960 are equal in the GPU Hierarchy chart.

Factor in the cost of a PSU upgrade and the 1050Ti (w/o 6 pin PCIe) might make more sense.
At least 8GB RAM with a 4GB GPU and preferably 12-16GB.
