Origin game library issues

I've had to reinstall windows which had origin installed and my origin games were on a different drive, i reinstalled windows and origin and i went into the origin settings and changed the game folder and it still wants me to download the games. is there any way i can fix this? i spent three and a half days downloading battlefield 1 and i dont want to have to redownload it. so is there something i can do with registry to tell origin that my games are installed or something of that nature? i really dont want to download all the battlefield games again

I had the same issue with NFS 2015. All I did was simply copy it to Origin's new download directory, start the download and it automatically finished it saying 100%. I've tried this thrice with the same game.

If you have battlefield 1 or any other game's digital setup, run it and install from there. That'll fix it.

i tried it, and its just downloading the game again even though its already downloaded

Not really, I've tried this personally. You just have to start downloading the game, the pause it and QUIT (this is important) origin. Then copy the preinstalled game (from the previous windows installation) and replace the newly created folder in the origin games folder with it.

its just hung at "resuming" and wont do anything else

UPDATE: it is now installing, no idea why it was stuck at resume for so long but it works!

Yes, I know, but in @OP's case, a setup is required as they stated that the normal trick isn't working.

UPDATE: Battlefield 1 is a big game. Give it some time to perform file checks and then see if it works.
I'd give it 15 mins atleast.
