Like the Alienware discussion currently on-going, this is a performance beast and to be admired technically. Justifying its cost for the most feature packed configurations (that we all drool for) is very hard to do when you consider that you can buy a significant portion of the Origin's performance for a lot less with a lesser platform.

If you can afford it and can justify the expense to yourself, more power to you. If you can't afford it, go elsewhere. Its all good.

Let's see a review on that monster!!! It might be fun to make the lights dim when you turn it on and cook the desk after some gaming.

Lazy people too lazy to bring a desktop to a Lan Party, with more affordable specs than maxed out, might be the most interested. $14K for maxed out specs might not buy a house, but maybe if you had it refurbished into something they couldn't offer, the sky's the limit! ;-)

My maxed out Sager has a screen resolution of 1920X1200, 12 gig's ram, dual intel X25 SSDs, 640gig data drive, SLI 480's, blu-ray writer, etc...

Yeah it was expensive but the box is great for the work that I have to do and Sager's support is tremendous. So happy I bought another one.

And I have had them for months - even with a 980 extreme the battery life is really decent.

Daam you can imagine that there is an addon for this computer called the room heater .. also functions as an egg cooker

Stuffing that kind of power into a notebook is impressive...sadly I'd never be able to justify the price tag. Also I don't see an option on the site to add a generator to the order for powering this thing on the go.

I called Origin and they confirmed that this is a Clevo machine (though Clevo doesn't seem to have one quite this powerful on their own site).

No word yet if they will be able to offer a GTX 470M as an option. Would be nice to get an extra bit of GPU power without the $1600 price tag.
