Question OS image file gets hidden when I boot normally in Windows 10 ?

I made an OS image backup successfully using Hiren's BootCD --> Disk Genius Utility.
This image file size is 10GB on my D drive.
Before creating this backup the free space on the D drive was 70GB.
When I boot normally in Windows 10, the image file is not there like someone has deleted it, and
the D drive free space is still 70GB as it was before creating the image file.

But when I boot using a USB Pen Drive, the file is still not visible but the D drive free space is 60GB, so the backup file must be there somewhere.

So how will I be able to restore the OS from this image file if it is hidden?

Please help me find a solution.
Thanks

A couple of things to try...

1. In File Manager, click on the view tab at the top and see if the hidden items box is ticked.

2. Open an Administrator command prompt. You can run a scan and fix by typing "chkdsk c: / f " (no quotes)
**** Replace the letter c: with the letter of the affected drive.

1. show hidden is already selected
2. done, but cant see file
I then took backup on external hdd, ejected it
booted win10 as usual
connected external hdd, copied file to D: drive
Done !
