Hy,

How can I get the OS Language (German, English, French...) in the Registry?

I can set the OS to different country settings, but i want the really OS
Language...

I need the OS Language for my Installation, because i have to set rights
on Folders for the Group 'Users'...and this Group is called
'Utilisateurs' on a French OS...

Thanks a lot,
Pete5r

Hi Peter,

Language support is provided for email, ewb pages, etc. It is not supplied
for the base OS language. For that you would need to do a clean installation
of WindowsXP with the preferred language version. The only exception to this
is the MUI for English volume licenses, generally only available to
corporate clients.

You cannot upgrade or convert from one language version of the OS
to another, so you'll have to purchase and use the full version of
French Win2K to perform a clean installation.
