I never thought much about this until recently, but when I first built my system 4 years ago, I bought this drive to run my OS http://3btech.net/whlamadate80.html. Almost all of my gaming files are installed in the faster WD1001FALS 1TB, which does not have a OS installed. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136284. Using win7's performance tool, my primary hard drive has by far the lowest score of 5.4.

I have noticed that sometimes my computer would pause for maybe a few seconds. This is especially annoying in some games. My question is: would making the WD1001FALS 1TB my main drive raise my score and, more importantly, improve the overall performance? Thanks.

Hmm... wonder why the links are broken. I'll just list the specs.
