Outlook contact list, file location

just installed new HD and OS. now i need to install Office and Outlook again. but i need to know where my contact list is hidding so i can import them.

ive looked in my office10 folder and around there, but cant seem to see anything promising.

It's hidden, so you need to check <b>Show hidden files and folders</b> option (in Windows Explorer, under Tool\Folder Options\View)

:smile: Good or Bad have no meaning at all, depends on what your point of view is.
 
That should work but for future reference it is a lot easier and better to simply use the export utility to export your contacts to a file and then import them later. You can even download a backup utility off microsoft.com that lets you scedule backups of all your mail data files.

i checked that folder and found a list. but its not complete.

i guess when i said address book i ment contacts. since there seems to be a difference in outlook.

so i still cant locate the proper files.

i have the ability to boot that drive still and see that outlook still works ok and the list is still intact. i just cant locate it.

FOUND IT!

its
Documents and Settings\user name\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\ the file named Outlook(office data file)

fixed everything.
even all my calender entries.
