So I have an ASUS Dual GTX 1660 Ti, and I overclocked it with +135 core clock and +1100 memory clock and power and temp limit on max also. I ran heaven benchmark and didn't see any artifacts or signs of instability, so I stayed with the overclock. I played fortnite for around a couple hours (3-4) with the overclock, and right about at the end, the game crashed saying the d3d device was lost. This has something to do with my GPU probably and may have been a sign of instability so I went back to stock. My only question is, since I already used the overclocked settings for like 3-4 hours, will that have damaged my GPU or slowed it down? The max temp I reached was like 75 degrees, and that was during benchmarking, not while playing fortnite. So will my stock speed be even slower then what It should normally be because I used the overclock setting (that could have potentially ben unstable) or is my GPU speed unaffected?

I'm just really paranoid because the crash may have been due to instability and that I've been running that potential unstable overclock for a couple of hours and that may have damaged my GPU. (I didn't increase voltage or anything either).

Don't worry about it :) Unless you messed around with adding xtra voltage from a custom BIOS, your 1660ti should be fine. Newer generations of GPU's have many safety features baked in, that you really can't circumvent without a custom BIOS. Even the voltage slider in MSI Afterburner is basically just a placebo slider.

In order to permanently damage your GPU you'll have to run at far higher temps for a lot longer.Just back your core clock back a bit, and you'll probably be fine.
