I don't think it's no big deal. If true, this is not good... It remains to be seen if this is a rumor or not. After all, prescott incompatibility rumors might be false as well... Overclockers.com even has some info on that as well.

They have an interesting take on things, too: they say that Opteron/A64 is indeed not a great performer at all, and that it is not nearly enough to compete with the highest-end P4s. Not only that, but A64 might end up competing with older Athlons... It's AMD's Willamette, they say. What is more interesting is that if indeed Prescott is a chip from hell - quite literally - because it is certainly hot like hell - then AMD would have a much better chance. Prescott might be, if this thermal issue proves to be true, Intel's Dustbuster... So it's AMD's Willamette vs Intel's Dustbuster. Hehehehe ...

Anyway, remember that THG hasn't posted anything on those "prescott not supported" and "Prescott as a heating device" rumors... Which is an indication of how believable they are, as of now.
