That's what I mean. Either you are missing something, or there is something wrong with the board. I used to have a couple 990FXA-UD3s; a rev1 and a rev4. But not the newer R5. I may not be remembering something because it's been awhile. But look thru BIOS for any setting that is on auto that would keep the multi from being set. Change it to manual.
You may want to check for a later BIOS too. Not that the old one shouldn't work, but sometimes flashing the BIOS will straighten things out.
Update: Instead of clicking on Auto to change it, try just highlighting that option and start typing in a new multi number.
