Overclocking AMD K6/2-350

Pls. send me detailed step-by-step information on how to overclock my venerable AMD K6/2-350 mhz slotted into an FIC motherboard. Thanks in advance.
 
What is the model# for your mobo? If it has some jumpers or dip switches for adjusting the FSB or multiplier you might get it a little higher. Keep in mind that the older K6-2's hate to be overclocked. I would be kinda surprised to see your chip hit 400 stable.
 
I had an old K62-300, and now I run an older K63-400. I can't overclock either one to save my life. Good luck with yours. I am going to install my water cooler today. Hopefully it might help me get a bit more out of it.

thanks to you both. the mobo's an FIC VA-503 series, unsure if it has the + on it. posted the same Q in AMDZone Forum & someone said it's quite positive enough given better heat dissipation and resetting the dip switches so i can do a possible max of 500 (5 x 100) although more definite is at 450 (4.5 x 100). i'll give it a try with my fingers crossed!
 
I was able to run my K6-II 400 at 448 (4 x 112).
It is giving a good performance enhancement because the fsb is increased. Also, it doesn't produce much heat.

So, you should be able to get you 350 a little higher if you increase the FSB frequency.
 
I'm currently using an FIC PA 2013 mobo atx w/ VIA's MVP4 chipset, and a 350MHz AMD K2-6. I've got the bus o/c'd to 112Mhz and multiplier set to 4X = 448MHz. The whole system is more stable than it was when run at spec multiplier and FSB, which was a little bit of a surprise. I'm still using the CPU heatsink and fan that came with the machine, but have to leave the case open, otherwise heat becomes a problem. To do the overclock, download the Mobo manual from VIA's site or elsewhere, and look specifically for multiplier and bus speed jumper settings for mobo. Make sure you've got a big heat sink and decent fan (doesn't need sensor or anything fancy). Mind your RAM. It may not be able to take the increased speeds. Going over 112MHz FSB made my 128MG ram useless, tho the older 64Mg chip worked fine.
