Ok, im pretty new to overclocking, and i finally found software that increases my clock speed. My question is that if i run my Sempron 3400+ (which at stock is at 2009Mhz) at 2450Mhz should i be concerned about overheating or pushing it too far. Also are there any fan kits i can install into my tower to ensure no overheating, or would i just have to go out and buy a fan and figure out how the hell to mount it. Plz post, cuz i just bought this PC and if i screw it up, my balls will be severed!

Use a cpu burn software, that will use 100% of your cpu to test stability.
It it passes one hour of stress test, it should be fine. No worries.
If it cant run...lower your settings until its all clear.

If I had a dollar for every person that posts a question about overclocking without telling us their system specs, Id be a billionaire.
HELLO.....we need to know what kind of system you have. Socket 939 or socket AM2, DDR or DDR2, motherboard brand??? Current cooling fan???
HELLO.....

Word.
