I have been experiencing TDR issue in some games such as rocket league, smite, and aion. But it runs fine in heavier games such as gta5, shadow of mordor, AC syndicate. I have tried reinstalling windows, clean install windows even switched to w10 now, clean install driver with DDU, registry tdrdelay fix, performance from adaptive to max. The only fix is to switch back to stock clock. So after that long scenario i did some test

with overclocking :I didnt touch voltage
+100 gpu clock
+200 mem clock
runs fine with no artifact in heaven 4.0, valley, 3dmark (even with decent score), EVGA OC Scanner X with no artifact result.
also runs fine in the heavier games i mentioned but not in rl, smite, and aion.

Then, i found this Evga OC Scanner the 32 bit one (without x), i ran it fullscreen and the scanning starts counting how many artifacts I get, then crashed with tdr notification.
In the event viewer, it shows 2 errors. Nvidia Open GL Driver error code 3 (sometimes 7), and tdr which is Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

So i turned down a bit my overclock to +75/150 and it scans fine and i assume also in (RL, smite, aion)

so what's the problem here? with +100/200 or 250, it runs perfectly with no artifact in heaven 4.0, valley, 3dmark, EVGA OC Scanner X, and heavy games i mentioned. But crashed randomly in some games and the evga oc scanner (32bit).

Does it have anything to do with Open GL driver? but that would't explain why the evga oc scanner is counting the artifact i get then crashed with tdr but not in evga oc scanner x (no artifact count) and programs/games i mentioned.

sry for the long post, i'm really desperate
