Hi, I'm trying to get 4.2-4.4 ghz on my cpu I'm having trouble I'm abit new at overclocking so please bear with my "noobness" these are my settings:

with these settings I can boot into windows and then run tests with prime95 and 3dmark at load I've only seen a max of 58-60c, everything seems stable but when I reset I get this weird rattle noise like my fan is trying to spin super fast (it's abit nerve-wracking) and all I get is a blank screen no inputs until i shut the computer off for awhile then turn it on then it boots very slowly sometimes I have to turn it on and off several times. Some help with my settings and such would help greatly please keep in mind I'm a noob at this so abit of dumbing down for me would help :) (I followed this guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZPy6xMhtso as closely as I could some settings I coudn't find.)

You can upgrade VRM cooling on this mobo examples:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Enzo-Tech-Copper-MOSFET-Cooler-10PK-MOS-C1-/271691299892?hash=item3f42103c34
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Enzo-Tech-Pure-Forged-CopperLow-Profile-MOSFET-Cooler-MOS-C10-/391019576881?hash=item5b0a953e31
+ add Fan to cool it down.

Or simply buy better mobo like: * with this mobos you will not need worry about VRM failure 😉

Edit: do not go for Asrock they do not make single good mobo for AM3 socket 😉

So, do you think I messed anything up or am I fine and should just run stock until I get a new motherboard? Would this do ASRock 970 Extreme3?
