Okay so...................I'm usually the one doing the problem solving's on this site but uhhhm...............I think it's time you guys & guyls help ME out now.

So, I have 2 Posts that're tagged as both a Discussions & Questions as it's a lot of things I wanna say then ask so..............my first post is:

I have a Custom Built PC that I built myself from hard scratch and the Specs are:
CPU: Intel Core i9-12900K
Mobo: Asus ROG MAXIMUS Z690 HERO
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 128GB (4 x 32 GB) DDR5-5200 CL40 Memory
GPU: Asus ROG STRIX GAMING OC GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 11GB Edition
Storages: 2 x Seagate BarraCuda 4 TB 3.5" 7200RPM HDD & Samsung 980 Pro 2GB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.1 X4 NVME SSD Boot Drive
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 1300 G+ 1300 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular Power Supply
OS: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro Custom 64-bit Edition
So.................my concern is . . . I really know my way around Overclocking systems & made them super stable for many many years to come.................but for some reason............whenever I enable XMP on my system with AI Optimized Settings and everything perfectly balanced............but when I save the settings and restart..........my system either hangs with Q-Code Error 31 or 55 or starts in Advanced Safe BIOS Mode. Now, I know that this can't be right as I've read the manual and those Q-Codes indicate that the RAM is either not installed or it's bugged out.............but when I do an Auto AI Optimized OC Profile...............it downclocks it to 4000Mt and runs fine.................so............could anyone kinda explain this to me in a way that I could be able to like . . . get XMP Enabled & have me RAM run at pure 5200Mt without hanging upon turning it on???

& My second post is: As you can see from the Specs I posted here I basically have a 12th Gen CPU paired with a High End 20 Series GPU which I feel like would cause bottlenecking as I've seen actually in gameplays . . . & the 40 Series GPUs are out rn and *kinda* steadily selling in a marginal matter what with the reviews say Nvidia screwed up a bit.................but I heard rumors of some new Super, Ti & Super Ti 40 Series card are coming out in near Q3-Q4 & I've seen a read about all the cards and everyones saying that it's now safe to upgrade from a 10-20 series to these cards but with that said...........is it REALLY safe/worth enough to upgrade to a 40 Series GPU..............or wait for MSRP ratings to drop for better pricings................or wait for the Super/Ti/Super Ti cards to be released to the general public??.........................cuz I'm eager to know now after about 3+ years of debating......................

With that said then, I feel like I'm not getting the FPS I want from AAA titles with the specs I have now lol . . . which is a i9-12900KS , 128GBs of RAM and the 4070 . . . at 2K . . . what would the average FPS be on a system like that . . .

So, it's been a year since the last time this thread had a post & I'm gonna update it with a whole lot of things. First off let me start by saying that I decided to get the ROG RTX 4070 Ti Super as there was a huge sale on it for almost $800 & got another 128Gb RAM Kit of Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro CL16 5200MTs which works very VERY well with the build. With all that said let's talk about what's going on in the now: How're ya'll enjoying these newer "50-Series Bummer Cards" if I must say that to speculate the outgoing reviews of how unimpressive they all are???....................................

I was looking forward to getting a 5090 for a new SFF build but when I saw that it was 25% more expensive for only ~27% more performance I skipped. I would also need to get the FE version which is even more unobtanium than the AiB cards... I ended up scrapping the entire SFF build idea and now basically cannot even play Monster hunter wilds because it's so unoptimized and GPU intense that my poor 3080 cannot hang... Doom and gloom for me. 😭

You know for practically the FIRST ever time I'm feeling empathy for someone in here LOL. Nvidias' production lines have all become: More AI ; Less Optimization. That's why I feel like unless Nvidia trails backwards looking at their biggest achievement yet: The 10 Series : I don't think I'll be upgrading again more than downgrading to either the Titan XP Pascal Arch or 1080 Ti via ROGs' backline............................until then my 4070 Ti Super OC is the sweetest spot for my 2K Exps

Back to you; have you ever thought of running NV-Link 3080s'?? I know that SLI/NV-Link is basically borderline obsolete dead in 2025 but did that ever come to mind?

That basically is worse than just using one single 3080. Zero games made in the last 5 years support it, and even if they did the drivers to run it properly are non-existent, and even if the driver did support it there would be horrible stuttering and screen tearing issues.
