Hey everyone,

The spec of my PC is as followed:

Gigabyte GA-980A-UD3 motherboard
Asus 550TI GPU
Novatech Galaxy III case
CIT 500W GOLD PSU
Phenom 955 BE
16GB 1666MHz RAM

basically, ive been playing games a bit more frequently and for longer periods of time and ive noticed that the top of my case is getting extremely hot and im noticing a performance decrease when this happens. I personally think its the case as i only have one 120mm fan at the rear of the case. However i wanted a 2nd opinion. So my question is what do you think my problem is? And how would i go about fixing it?

Thanks
Andy

the GPU and CPU shouldn't generate an over abundance of heat, but I looked at the case that you have and the spec only list a 80mm side fan as included. but you say you have a 120mm in the rear. if this is all you have then I would add the addition fans that it allows.

3 x 80mm front and side (intake)(don't get high RPM noisy ones) 20-30 CMF @ 20-29 Db
and replace the 1x 120mm rear exhaust. (you want one that moves air 75-100 CMF, 1200-2200RPM @ not more than 35db
