Overvoltage on 5v

Hi, i have a problem. on my bios it says i have 9.64 volts on the 5v bar, picture and SPECS added
everything else. LEDS,FANS are working

and if i try to procced to bootup its give me BSOD with the code

Specs:
CPU: INTEL i5 2500k
mb: asus pp67-m
ram g.skill 2x2gb 1333,hz
psu seasonic 600w
gpu ati 6950
any ideas of what may be causing this?

Yeah you may be BSOD'ing b/c you are overvolting the LIVING CRAP out of you pc. can you change the voltage on the 5V rail? also why is your CPU fan so damn slow?

Does it give you that blue screen every time? Have you made any changes to the computer? It might or might not be the PSU 5V rail, you can check it with a volt meter.

Sounds like a bad PSU to me. An easy check would be to use a voltmeter to check the 5V line. Seasonic is a great company, but that doesn't mean every PSU is perfect.

The only other way I could see a way to raise the 5V line would be to connect it to the 12V line. But if that was the case, then the 12V line would be pulled down to the same voltage (and the PSU probably would have exploded or shut down)

It is very possible that the 12V is shorting to the 5V line. but it looks like the PSU may be screwed up.

Either you are over volting that or the PSU is going bad. The PSU takes the 12 volt line and drops it down for the 5 and 3.3 volt lines.

nvm the bsod, it was the harddisk, now i can boot but and everything works fine, just that the speedfan shows me 9.64V
on the 5v railing(picture added)and no, i cant change the voltage, it just changed to this from no reason...any ideas? and is it ok for the PC to work on this kind of volts?
and how to check the volts on the connection? take out the 4pin connecting and connect it to a voltmeter?

Run CPU-Z and see what's going on. I have had WILDLY different voltages and temps reported on SF and CPU-Z

well, ill check the volts, in the meantime, is it ok for the pc to run? or can it cause damage to the MB or other components
