Question "P" key and "Backspace" key don't work

After playing Team Fortress 2 I noticed that my "P" key and my "Backspace" key no longer work, I temporarily fixed this by alt tabbing in and out of the game however this didn't seem to provide a permanent solution and the 2 keys are still broken. I'm sure this is a not hardware issue as other people have experienced the same issue I have although I couldn't find a solution that worked for me. I unfortunately have had to use the on screen keyboard which is extremely tedious. Operating system Windows 10, model Asus Strix GL504GM.

update the BIOS
install latest chipset drivers
could be a hardware problem as well
