I'm looking at getting a new PS for my server. The current one is getting kind of flaky. What I'm running is this...

Asus P5K MB with Intel 2.5ghz duo core and 8gbs of DDR2
nVidia FX5200 video
Adaptec 2400A Raid controller
2.4ghz WiFi network card
2 WD Blue 500gb SATA hard drives
2 Samsung DVD burners
4 WD800BB ide hard drives (0+1 RAID)

current PS I believe is 500w. Would 600w be enough or should I jump one more to a 700w? Main thing its for is file storage for my network and making dvds. I keep all of my programs and OS iso files on the machine. Any help would be appreciated.

Solution
A little more headroom would help, especially if you intend to swap various components or add more later. 600W should be fine for now, though I would get the 700W if possible. Since this is for a server, I would make sure you get a PSU with a high efficiency rating since this will be on for long stretches of time. Up to you and your budget though.

700 is kinda what I was leaning towards. Glad to know I haven't completely lost my mind. And to think when I first started with computers 300w were yuge! Now if I could just find a Corsair700 on sale....:)
