I just looked up some DIY on pencil volt modding my P35 DS3L. I took out the board and metered and penciled for 15 minutes until I had the right resistance reading. I stopped at 1000 Ohm for now. So far the Vdroop is very low, but not too low. Volt drop happens of course and so far the test is going well. Will post more info once more testing has been done! Anyone else have any pencil modding experience?

Update** I dropped Vcore to 1.4V from 1.4375V @ 3.7Ghz. So far I've been running OCCT for 2 hours and still stable. Before the mod I wasn't able to do anything under 1.4375V for 3.7Ghz. I will try to raise the freq higher to see how high my CPU will clock.

So far I have no Vdroop, which can be a bad thing. I am going to purchase a Q9650 which will draw more current than my E6750 and hopefully create some Vdroop. CPU is solid with .3475V less.

Well done! I have the v-droop mod also. I was going to add the mod to my guide, but I can no longer edit my guide :( .

I have absolutely no vdroop/vdrop on mine. Voltages for my E2180, E8400 stay at a constant 1.42 (E2180 @ 3.2) and 1.38v (E8400 @3.62)
