Hi,

I don't know why but it seems that my two 512 Mb DDR 400 MHz Infineon
modules are incompatible with the P4C800-E Deluxe.

When the PC starts, I see that the frequency is set to 200 MHz in place of
400 MHz dual channel.

Is it a question of BIOS update ?

Am I alone to meet that trouble ?

Thanks

Andre

The memory clock is at 200MHz.
Two pieces of data are transferred during each clock cycle.
That equals a DDR400 transfer rate.

So 200MHz ==> DDR400 and everything is OK.

Memory DATA DATA <--- DDR400 Data
_________ ____
Clock | | | <--- 200MHz Clock
___| |_________|
<---1 clock cycle-->

And, for that matter, your processor bus transfers four
pieces of data per clock cycle. So 200MHz processor clock
gives an FSB800 transfer rate on the processor's front
side bus.

Processor DATA DATA DATA DATA <--- FSB800 Data
_________ ____
Clock | | | <--- 200MHz Clock
___| |_________|
<---1 clock cycle-->
