Hi,

does anyone run a configuration like this:

- Asus P4P800 SE (PCB 2.0)
- Seagate ST380013AS 80GB SATA
- IDE Operate Mode in BIOS: [Enhanced Mode]

I tried several hardware combinations and BIOS Versions. Every time
the same result: The computer reboots during the POST. The message
"Auto-Detecting 3rd Master IDE Hard Disk" apears for a split second
then comes the reboot.

It looks more and more as an incompatibility between the board and the
HDD.

Did anyone have more success with a setup like this?

Thanks,

Robert

I have a P4P800 SE with a 160 gig Seagate SATA and have had no
problems. I did have a Philips PCS706 soundcard that would crash the
system about every 20 minutes. Took it out of system and all is well.
Not sure if it was bad card or bad drivers, Philips drivers are about
1 to 1.5 years old.
