I agree. If you need raid0, use the p-ata / s-ata adapters or buy s-ata
drives and use the ICH5r s-ata raid. I prefer a non-raid setup myself.
Striping drives doubles the chance of a hard drive failing and the
subsequent data loss. I like my data. The performance boost is enticing
though.
