I currently have a 1080p monitor, I'm considering getting a 1440p monitor as my main monitor, and moving the 1080p one to my side, would running a game on the main monitor with a video on the 1080p monitor cause alt tabbing issues? for example alt tabbing from a game on the main monitor to pause a video on the second monitor, would the screen go dark then go back on to recalibrate?

Generally no.

For games where this does happen, it'll be from running the game at a lower resolution like 1080p on the 1440p monitor in fullscreen (not "windowed fullscreen" or "borderless fullscreen"). Some games fail at this in fullscreen, regardless if you're running the game at the monitor's native resolution or not, but I've found them few and far between.

Albeit this is more of a Windows issue than an individual game issue.
