Hey Guys,
i need to pair an i5-12600k with an Asus TUF B660m-Plus Motherboard.
I know i will not be able to overclock it but can this motherboard handle the max turbo speed of 12600k ?
will this motherboard bottleneck the 12600k ?

Hello Guys
what is your opinion about this combo ? will be there a bottleneck ?
what about the board, it is good for the CPU to handle it at turbo speed ?

CPU: Intel i5-12600k
GPU: RTX 2060
Ram : 32GB 3600GHz
Board: Asus TUF B660m-Plus

You are going to have to be a lot more clear what you mean by "bottleneck" and what you think "turbo" means.

In general you will not be able to use the overclock ability of your "K" type cpu on that motherboard. It will still run like a standard 12600.
Actually i don't care about Overclocking, but the standard 12600 doesn't has 4 E-core but the 12600k does

There is always going to be a bottleneck somewhere. This time, the GPU will be your limiting factor. Ideally, you want a Z series motherboard, for a K series CPU, as those are meant to overclock. If you give a budget, and currency, it is possible to maybe find you a better overall combo.
i don't care about overclocking im not heavy user but i need to use the full turbo stock speed of 4.9GHz that 12600k offer, and i have choose 12600k over 12600 because its has 4 E-core that 12600 doesn't has, so will be the board efficient with the 12600k stock speed ?

It shouldn't be a problem. btw what cpu cooler do you plan on using?

Maximum Turbo Power: 150 W

Not if it's a 120mm AIO. I would look at a DeepCool AK500 / DeepCool AG500 for that cpu. If you're located in Europe you can get a great deal on a B760 board at the moment.
im located in Kuwait and Asus Intel Prime B760M-A WIFI D4 and Asus TUF B660m-Plus both same price, so i should pick B760 ?

Getting the max turbo speed depends on two things:
  1. The number of active cores needs to be limited. Perhaps one or two.
  2. The cpu temperature needs to be modest, say 70c.

For a good cooler, look at the thermalright peerless asassin:

From a cooling capability point of view, a bug twin tower cooler has about the same cooling capacity as a 240 aio.
I would avoid liquid cooling unless you have limited space or need a 360 size or larger.

Hello
i will combine MSI PRO B660M-A with 12600k, is this a good combo ?
i dont care about the overclocking, but will this board run 12600k efficiently ?

Graph is in the link.

Finally, we have the Core i5-12600K results and this CPU drops power usage down to around 120-130W, which is a much lighter load for these boards. Using the standard airflow setup with the stock power limits in place, the MSI Pro B660M-A which ran the 12600K unrestricted, peaked at just 61C for a score of just over 17,000 pts.

Second best were once again the Soyo and Maxsun boards, and although they performed slightly worse than the MSI model, they were much better than the majority of boards tested.

The Asus Prime B660M-A also performed quite well. Despite its 200W configuration, this board is best suited for sustained 125W loads.

Hey guys,
I'm building a pc for Heavy Music Production, 3D modeling [Blender + Unity ] and little gaming.
any recommendation about this combo if its ideal or no ?
i5-12600k
RTX 2060
Asus TUF B660m-plus
32GB Ram 3600Ghz
2TB SSD Crucial P3
1TB HDD
750WATT PSU

All these Parts will cost me about 1350$ is this a good price for them ? [I'm located in Kuwait and price there may be higher than Europe and USA]

The Intel Core i5-12600K is a powerful processor with a maximum turbo frequency of 4.9 GHz, while the ASUS TUF B660M-Plus is a budget-friendly motherboard that supports the LGA 1200 socket and is compatible with the 11th Gen Intel Core processors.

The TUF B660M-Plus motherboard should be able to handle the maximum turbo speed of the i5-12600K without any issues, as it has been specifically designed to support the latest Intel processors.

As for bottlenecking, it's important to note that the performance of a system is determined by the interaction between all of its components, not just the processor and the motherboard. However, the B660M-Plus is a budget-friendly motherboard and may not have the same features as a high-end motherboard, which could potentially limit the i5-12600K's performance in some cases.

It's also worth noting that the B660M-Plus does not support overclocking. This means that you will not be able to push the i5-12600K to its maximum frequency even if the motherboard is capable of handling it.
