I have this problem where there can only be display in the HDMI port and no video input in the DisplayPorts of my 1070, although both monitors are detected via windows display settings, dxdiag and Nvidia control panel.
I will also add that both monitors are VGA cable and are connected to the gpu via VGA to HDMI and VGA to DP adapters.
Take note that these adapters are from what I am using in my old GPU, RX 580 , and is perfectly fine.

The monitor with the VGA to DP adapter is detected as DVI in Nvidia Control Panel. See image below.

I have tried updating Nvidia DisplayPort Firmware, installing old nvidia drivers for 1070 and updating to latest. Nothing seems to be working.

My rig is

CPU: Ryzen 5 5600
Mobo: Gigabyte B450m-K rev 2
RAM: 2x8gb Fury Beast 3200mhz
GPU: Palit Jetstream 1070
OS: Windows 11
PSU: MSI Mag A550BN

BIOS version for your motherboard?

You forgot to mention the make and model of your PSU and it's age.

With that, use DDU to remove all GPU drivers(Intel, AMD and Nvidia) in Safe Mode, then manually install the latest GPU driver sourced from Nvidia's support site in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

some questions in advance to be clear if it´s hardware or software fault or just wrong plugging:

Are you sure that you connected the monitor to the display port and not to the DVI?

Are you sure you´ve connected it to the 1070 and not the motherboard?

are the adapters real active adapters or just adapters?

Did you extend windows to the second monitor? press windows + P, a windows will appear where you can select the mode you want extend, clone, only monitor 1, only monitor 2

Might be the DVI/DP doesn´t provide VGA analogue signals and the adapter is not an active one
eventually:
the adapter is faulty
the video port of the 1070 is faulty
the monitor is faulty
the cable is faulty

1st I would replace the adapter for an active adapter like:

I included my PSU now. MSI Mag A550BN I bought this brand new less than a month ago.
I have already DDU'd in safe mode. But will try again with the Run as Admin. I'll keep you updated

the adapter is faulty - Working with my rx580
the video port of the 1070 is faulty - Working at my friend's pc
the monitor is faulty - Has display when I am using the HDMI
the cable is faulty - Has display when I am using the HDMI

can you recommend me a good brand for an active adapter?
