sinse the Palomino is a bigger core, and runs at a higher default voltage one would think it could handle higher voltage when overclocking right?

i see people use 1.9-2.0v on Bartons, so youd think a Palomino would be even more tolerant .. im afraid to go over 1.9 because ima pussy

what do you think

Voltage means heat, and the palomino core is very good at that. If you need a shortlived baseboard go ahead. Chances are, it will burn quick. Leakage current is a big problem for pally chips. Add enough voltage, and a leak becomes a short.

The NF7-S undervolts a lot. With that in mind, I wouldn't go past 1.93V (this is probably below 1.9V with the undervolting), depending on your temps, and how long you want the CPU to last  .

yea, when i put it at 2v, its actually at 1.97

noticed the undervoltating.. it was kind of a pleasant suprise actually :)

but its sitting at 1.7v now, .05 under stock and running 100mhz lower at 1.78ghz

not bad for a pally i guess
