Who is stupid enough to buy a 6K tablet? Companies come out with a new tablet or phone every year with better processors, displays, and functionality. It's not a very good investment, even if you use it as a secondary monitor since it's only 20".
Useless device, 4K resolution is not needed for a 20" screen. $8K price tag also not needed. Come to think of it, my comment for this article isn't needed, and the article itself isn't needed
With 4k you can be close enough to lick the screen and still not see pixels. If only they had a candy themed puzzle game that you can play on a mobile device.
So it's going to cost me $8,000 for a 20 inch computer monitor that is 4k when I can get a 30 inch computer monitor that is 4k for under $3,000. nice.... epic fail.
So is it 2160p or 2560p? 6,000 or 8,000? Man so many typo's
Obviously this is going to be marketed at professionals, because otherwise no one in their right mind would spend that much on a tablet.
Couldn't they at least through in a built-in 4G LTE modem or something?
And finally, why in heck does it use a 3rd-gen Core i5? Why not a 4th-gen to increase battery life (which will no doubt be very short because of the 4K display). Clearly Panasonic is banking on the 4K gimmick
No a professional would not buy this either. What is a professional going to do with this? Mobile workstations can have a higher quality display, better connectivity, better performance and better productivity. All of that at a much lower price and besides, some of us don't mind lugging around 9lb laptops.
There might be a market for these right now but it's undoubtedly small.
The price on this reminds me of the price on Sony's first OLED TV - the 13" XEL-1 that went for $2499.00. I bet this will will not last as long in the marketplace.
I cant imagine 4k is all that difficult (or nearly as expensive as they're making it seem).
Considering we can cram 2560x1440 into a 10" tablet for $500 (New asus transformer, nexus 10, etc) or 2048 x 1536 in the iPad, the pixel density is effectively the same (comparing 2560 in a 10" vs 4k in a 20")... (4x the screen size, 4x the pixel count)
So whats with the exorbitant cost of anything labeled 4k? There is no possible way a 4k panel costs $4000.
am i the only one to think this will be a epic fail , if you've ever used windows 8 on touchscreen with any resolution over 1680x1050 you'll know how utterly usuasable as the writing is so small that it is unreadable and apps / programs cannot be clicked on as there smaller then your finger print , Thumbs down
After looking on Panasonic's website, they DO list this as a 3840x2560 (230ppi, 15:10) screen. So it's actually higher than 4K. I guess that's why the price is higher than 4K, haha
