Hi! I recently visited a wallpaper site and I’m a little paranoid about how I might’ve caught a virus or malware, I right clicked a image and set it as my background, the site in question is wallpapersmug.com. Could someone please scan it and on of their with an antivirus or give me peace of mind.

What leads you to think that site is a virus vector?

Checking with my Linux VM shows that site as nothing weird.
Just a bunch of downloadable images.
Awesome. Thank u so much. Is there any way u can scan a picture wallpaper without downloading it so see if they’re good. If not, thanks again. That relieves me alot!

I cant access it rn, but is there a way to see what the notification said. Is there a history
Yes, in Windows options, Security, Virus and malware protection. You should find an history of alerts with details about the problem there. And if Windows defender quarantined something you can choose to delete it or release it.

I would run a Malwarebytes scan just to be safe if I were you.

Awesome thanks! I’m gonna do that !. Would the free version of malwarebytes suffice?

Yes, the free version is exactly the same but without a few extra options that come with the paid version. The scanner is no different.

Perfect, would it be able to detect malware or a virus that was on the pc even before installation of malwarebytes
