hey,
i just bought all components for a new build,
including a 512 gb mx100 SSD.

i was wondering if it wouldnt be a good idea to partition the drive and keep win 8.1 completely seperated from all other data.

good, bad?
how much disk space would you suggest for win?

20gb base + 80 gb reserve???

Hello... Yes... if you want a visual view of DATA/Files that are loaded to a Partition, this is a great Method.

1) Create directories Programs files and Program files (x86) on the NEW Partition.
2) New Programs can be installed on the NEW Partition... You can now direct them to the NEW Partition Location using "Custom install"... if you don't want them installed on your Windows Partition, Programs files and Program files (x86).

thats what i thought :)
how much disk space would you suggest for the win partition?

one guy suggested 250 gb but that sounds a bit ridiculous for a program that is 20gb in size when you first install it
