Hello all,

Totally confused about this one and was hoping someone could help me out.

A couple days ago, my wife surprised me with a brand new Ryzen 7 5800x CPU for my build (late bday present) and so I got to upgrading.
Thing is, I've never upgraded a CPU on a mobo before. I've always gotten a new CPU with a new Mobo. So this time, after doing some research, I learned that X570 mobos MAY have issues with Vermeer CPUs and that I should update my BIOS. Cool, I can do that. So I go to do that the day before the new CPU arrives.

New CPU arrives, I install it. Go to turn on computer. The "Can't find Boot device." LED is blinking on the board. I reset the CMOS. LED goes away. PC boots. Upgrade is amazing, everything works way better, I'm no longer bottlenecking my RTX 3070.

HOWEVER. A week has passed since then. And on everyday, whenever I go to turn on my PC for the day, the following sequence occurs exactly...
  1. PC powers on.
  2. Monitor displays the MSI boot screen.
  3. Display loses input. Computer still on but no video output. No error LEDs on mobo either.
  4. I long press the power button to force shutdown.
  5. Restart.
  6. Monitor displays the MSI boot screen.
  7. PC boots into Windows no problem.
Things I have tried: reseating my RAM, swapping the positions of the RAM, double checking my boot order in the BIOS and resetting the CMOS.

I am currently writing this post from this computer. And even though it's working, I'd really like to NOT have to power cycle my PC every day from now on so, if anyone has any idea what's happening or what I need to do in order to troubleshoot it, I'd be so grateful!

Thanks for reading and thanks for all of your help.
