Hello! New here. Just built my first PC for my kid—all brand new parts. Everything rans smoothly; he didn't have any issues for over an hour. I asked if he tried ARK: Survival Evolved yet, so he boots it up, plays for a minute and the computer crashes.

Whenever I turn on the PC, the CPU, PSU, GPU, and case fan all spin, even the RGB on the case is working, but it doesn't display anything.

Troubleshooting I've tried:
  • Switching video cables (and different monitors)
  • reseating everything
  • Resetting CMOS
Is there anything else I should be trying? Thanks!

Specs:
CPU: Intel i3-12100F
CPU cooler: Stock (from CPU)
Motherboard: Gigabyte B660M DS3H AX DDR4 Micro ATX LGA1700

PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower GX2 600 W 80+ Gold

Is the video cable still connected to the GPU and not the motherboard?

flash to the latest BIOS using the Q-flash plus feature of your motherboard

check the cpu socket of the motherboard for bent or discolored pins

run minimum setup:
GPU, PSU, motherboard, one RAM in slot A2, cpu with cooler and fan, keyboard, monitor connected to the GPU
(remove all other devices)
Yep! To the GPU, not the motherboard.

I didn't find any bent pins or markings on the CPU nor the socket.

I also performed Q-flash. It blinked fast, then slow, then stopped after a couple minutes. So nothing seemed outta the ordinary there.

After minimum setup, still nothing.

in a different system
OP most likely don't have that either. But without it OP kind of exhausted the ideas id have especially if it wont POST to the UEFI settings. The other idea would be to redo the CMOS reset but make sure the system is unplugged.
