Whenever I boot my PC I get a password screen asking for a User Password for my HDD. I have never set one of these and no one else uses my computer. If I press escape it says "Incorrect password. HDD Locked" and then my computer boots. I can no longer see the drive in my file explorer. Is this drive dead? It appeared in the explorer the first time after it said it was locked and I could see my files, but then I shut off my pc and unplugged the SATA cable and plugged it back in, and now it won't show up at all anymore. I'm not sure what exactly I am supposed to do at this point.

Specs:
CPU: Intel i5 10600K

RAM: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 3600mhz CL16
PSU: Rosewill RBR1000 1000W
Intel 660p 500GB SSD
Teamgroup L5 3D Lite 480GB SSD (The drive with the issue)

Solution
Your computer will boot and you do have access to the C: drive and OS - correct?

= = = =

Forum rules prohibit assisting with passwords, security workarounds, etc.

There is no way for us to know the full truth of the matter.

This SSD:

Take a look a the Newegg reviews.

My suggestion is that you try to wipe the SSD for reuse. Or contact Teamgroup and to determine if the SSD is indeed faulty and eligible for RMA.

Closing thread accordingly.
