Hi Guys,

I'm a 17 year old computer enthusiast who enjoys to build and repair computers. Yesterday night I finished building my 3rd personal computer with the specs which follows;

  • Ryzen 7 2700x (Stock cooler)
  • MSI B450 Tomohawk Max
  • 24 GB Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz
  • AMD RX 580 8GB
  • RM750x
  • 480GB Corsair NVMe SSD
  • Phanteks P400A
The build went well, everything was fine and fitted into the case nicely. When I put power into the pc and pressed the on button, the lights and fans started to spin without a problem. However, when I eventually plugged it into a monitor and had the boot USB in, it didn't show anything on the screen at all. I know there is light indicators on the MSI motherboard, and when I turned it on it went to "CPU" for around 3 seconds, then to "VGA" for around 3 seconds, then went to "BOOT" for maybe 20-30 seconds.

I've re-seated the ram and gpu to see if that would fix it, but still nothing. CMOS battery has been removed and left for a few minutes, reseated but still nothing. Would appreciate any help from anyone because I'm currently struggling for things to do. Should I rebuild the machine bit for bit and try a minimum boot?

Thanks,
Mike.
