Question PC boots to the BIOS every time ?

Hello all,

Motherboard: Z790 Aorus Elite AX

Installed the motherboard, new ram, M2's and 12th gen I9. If I reboot the warm pc, it gives me the normal menu option of dropping into bios for a few seconds before booting the OS. If the machine is powered off, the boot process drops into bios and waits. I can hit save and exit and the boot process continues normally.

Windows 10 is installed on the first M.2 SSD, Linux was installed in the second M.2 SSD, and the Linux install controls the boot via grub menu.

Any idea what I've done wrong or potential fixes would be really appreciated.

update the BIOS of the motherboard, might be an incompatibility thing

did you reset the BIOS by jumper yet?

I had previously updated the bios to the newest version. I have reset the bios so many times, I have lost count. This board has fought me during install like no other motherboard has in the past (20 years of building).

I did find the solution to this problem and it's very simple. On a cold boot, I simply told the bios to reinstall the default values, then saved/exited. It's been working normally for a day ....
