I'm looking for advice on a new build for a PC. My current box is nearly 8 years old, and it's been a good run but it's showing its age for a lot of newer games.

Approximate Purchase Date: March

Budget Range: $1,600-$1,800 USD

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, streaming (watching), light design (Articulate, Photoshop), internet browsing

Are you buying a monitor: No

Parts to Upgrade: All (have a spare hard drive)

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Microcenter

Location: Michigan/Ontario

Parts Preferences: The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D bundle (w/Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX v2 mobo and G.Skill Flare X5 Series 32GB DDR5-6000 kit) from Microcenter as the basis unless there's another really good bundle out there.

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments:
No particular preferences for case appearance. Partner has a Lian Li Lancool which looks great. I'm currently playing Baldur's Gate 3, Helldivers 2, etc.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: My computer isn't handling newer games (with or without mods) well and it's increasingly struggling to keep up with newer titles. I'd like something that's future-proofed for at least another 5-6 years. Handing my current computer down to my child.

Microcenter sales the Lancool 216 (great case) and the Deepcool AK620 cpu cooler which would be a solid addition to your bundle deal. This gives you an idea of what you would be looking at cost wise with no MC.

AMD build

The 120mm fan goes inside the back of this case for an exhaust fan.

If you prefer a mobo with pcie 5.0 SSD and a GPU with more VRAM:
