I believe he meant canadian dollar, not CAD programs.

I'm sorry but whenever I come to a post in CAD (I'm Canadian too), there is always that one person who thinks it's computer aided design.

Arch's build is pretty well spot on. I wouldn't be going for a full tower case though. Wayyy to big for no reason.

I usually do the same thing, but I always check the pcpartpicker link to see if it's the canadian version.

As for the case, I totally agree with you. It's a bit expensive, but I'm sure the OP picked it for a reason. A nice alternative, even if you want to stick with full tower, is the NZXT Phantom 530 (white), it looks similar and is $60 cheaper. That, paired with a smaller wattage of the EVGA G2 series (650 vs 750W) can fit a 500GB Samsung SSD, vs the 250GB I have in there currently.

Yup, that works as well. Here's everything put together, for reference.

The sad thing is I knew it was Canadian money, but still thought he was talking about computer aided design XD

Oh well, it happens to the best of us :)

Quad channel. You could go 2x8, but I doubt OP would be upgrade to 32 or 64GB any time soon, and I've hard that 4x4GB is preferable over 2x8GB, although it is slightly more expensive.

EDIT: Now that I look at it, The Z170P doesn't support Quad channel, so it would be better to go with 2x8GB. My mistake.

Yeah, I realized that now. I've edited my original post to a 2x8GB.

I don't think an hdd will be needed as I already got one from my old laptop. Anyway, I think that a 500gb ssd should be enough for me. And if I manage to squeeze a 980 ti in my budget, which one should I go for.

$12 over budget, but it has the case you want, and is SLI ready. PSU should be able to handle two GTX980ti's.

I've searched the psu, and it's not determined in which tier it is yet so I don't think I should go for it.
On top of that, I don't plan on buying a second 980ti until next year at which point I'll have another 2000$ to spend on the pc.
And as MasterDell said, If I avoid CanadaComputers and Vuugo and get this
ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220gs0650v1
instead, the total would be 2122$.
I can go 100$ over budget if necessary, so is this 980ti the best I can get for the budget?
