Please keep it to 1 thread
I have a budget of roughly 1k give or take (a little more or less wouldn't hurt). What would be the best PC I can build for gaming right now? Any input will be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance!

You're advised to stylize your thread with info asked of in this thread;
including your location(if you're not located in the USA) as well as your preferred site for purchase(so we know what you have access to + brand and parts availability will vary due to region). The community can follow up with worthwhile suggestions.

Moved thread from Components section to Systems section.

For reference located in Greece, prices are roughly the same as Amazon.

Just slightly over budget.

Thanks for your input! Is the 7700 XT a better option than the NVIDIA cards around the same price?

Unless you have a need for Nvidia specific technologies, yes. Pure raster performance, the 7700xt is faster.

From techpowerup's 7900gre review.

Even with RT it is better than the similarly priced 4060ti 8gb. You need the more expensive 16gb model to beat it, and at that price, the 7800xt is cheaper and faster. On a side note, I wouldn't do an 8gb gpu, these days anyway, especially at 1440p.

Would you say it's better in the long term to pay a little more and go for the 4070 perhaps?

Cant say im a fan of Intel with no upgrade path that said AM4 is no better and AM5 may push you past your budget..
b650 and a 7700non x will be a good upgrade too ..
No, as the 5070 will be out next month for $549, and should be quite a bit faster. Right now is kind of a terrible time to build, with new releases on the horizon.
Agreed i would be waiting to see what AMD prices its cards at and dont forget Intel's B580 and B770 ..

Personally a AM5 7700 non x Intel b580 would be a huge upgrade and leave heaps of upgrade paths later on ..

slap a 9800x3d and upgrade the GPU later

If you got any suggestions, I'm open to stretching the budget a bit.

decent AMD b650 make sure its pcie x16 5.0 ( some boards are still gen 4)
most new GPU's and going forward will be gen 5.0 x 16 .

A 7700 non x cpu solid performance and easy to cool

Arctic freezer iii 280mm AIO will cool it nicely

ddr5 cl 30 6000 is AMD's sweet spot for zen 5

the Intel B580 is around the 250usd mark

My reasoning behind the B580 is its a decent card for the most part i dont 100% know without looking at true bench marks between the 7700xt GPU and the B580 but i think the B580 falls slightly behind ..

Platform change is a big deal and what you can save on your GPU could afford you a better platform which gives you options later ..

or that :)

maybe change the board for a b650e for better vrms and better chipset features i like the gen pcie x16 5.0 better which im not sure the 620s have !
