PC can't run any games and progressively gets worse

I have a 5 year old ASUS Transformer AiO P1801
The specs if you can't bother to google them are the following:

• 6 GB of RAM
  Intel Core i5-3350P 3.10 GHz quad-core processor
  NVIDIA GeForce GT 730M 2 GB card
  Lots of free disk space (reset to factory settings a few days ago)

As time goes by, my pc gets progressively worse at running games. I used to be able to run decently demanding games. Today I decided to try a downloadable pokemon game with graphics similar to those of generation 3 (those are some pretty pixely graphics) and I can't even run that smoothly at a stable framerate. I won't even bother to explain what happens when I run Pubg or heavier games.

Is it a hardware problem? Did my PC age? Do I need a professional to check it? Every answer is welcome. Thanks in advance!

Yes your PC has aged. To run modern games you will need at least a Gtx750ti, or Gtx1050 or better. And minimum 8gb ram. Your CPU is fine.

The recommended specs to run the game I'm talking about are just about 2-4 GB of RAM and 750MB of available hard drive space and they don't even mention graphics card. I'm very skeptical regarding the importance of my card on a game like this and I definitely don't wanna upgrade if it isn't a guaranteed solution... any thoughts?

If it's getting worse (progressively) that might point to overheating and throttling. You might need to clean and reapply thermal compound to the GPU/CPU as well as clean out the fans/vents. You'll need a small screwdriver and some aftermarket paste like kryonaut or arctic silver 5, a little goes a long way, don't use a lot, pea sized or smaller. Youtube your specific device to see if you can find a guide on how to open it or check ifixit.

But just to mention, don't download and try "free" Pokemon games because they likely have malware or crypto mining software built-in. I don't know of any official free Pokemon games other than Pokemon GO.

Hmm I think your PC is overheating. Usually happens in AIO PCs. Download a temperature monitoring software (Open Hardware Monitor should do fine) and run your games. If the CPU or GPU temp is above 85C then your system is throttling. Let me know your temps.

You were totally right! Every temperature indicator was above 80, maybe even 90.

Time to open your computer and clean your cpu and gpu fans mate. Or you can take your computer to the nearest service center and let them do it for you.
