Hello,

Im currently trying to build a cheap PC with good specs. Would like some input on this. We have around £400 to play with and dont need to worry about an SSD or a GPU.

Currently I have selected the following:

AMD FX-6300 - £80.25
Corsair H55 - £49.99
Gigabyte GA-970A UD3p - £64.82
Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 @ 1600 - £32.99
Segate Barracuda 2TB - £54.98
Corsair 200R Case - £49.99
Corsair CX500M - £49.98

Total Price £383.00

I have a spare brand new SSD that can be used for OS and also a GTX 760 as I will be upgrading from this.

Just wanted some opinions on the design, and if you think there are any alternatives that I could use?

Thanks

The i3 only has dual core, and the stock heatsink would not be sufficient for overclocking.

DO NOT GET A 5 YEAR OLD CPU.
That was a warning, go for intel H110 and an i3 with stock heatsink.
You can't overclock intel on a low budget, but in games the i3 is better than any AMD CPU.
