[SOLVED] PC crashes after overclock

So, basically, I overclocked my CPU and did a stability test on AIDA64 it passed it with no problem. I even ran it through Cinebench and Prime95 and everything worked fine. I am playing games and it works fine with no hiccups. (Hunt: Showdown, Minecraft, Overwatch, DOOM)

My problem is that sometimes when I open Chrome or when I wake my PC from Sleep mode, my PC just freezes and I can't do anything and I have to restart it and then it works fine.

I have an AMD FX 8350 processor which I overclocked at 4.5GHz running at 1.4V. My PSU is Corsair VS550, my graphics card is AMD Radeon Gigabyte RX580 8gb and I have 16 gbs of RAM (1333MHz).

My idle CPU temps are from 40-50 and on 100% load they are around 75-80 and when I am running CPU intensive games, my temps go up to 65.

Any suggestions on what could be the problem?

Welcome to the forums my friend!

First port of call would be to disable the OC and see if the issue persists.
If it stops, then you need to reconfigure the overclock.

If so, then we will look at other hardware or even software.
As a heads up, the Corsair VS series is a notoriously bad budget line PSU that has caused various issues. Especially if it's the older ones.

Thank you for your reply.

I found out that I had some outdated drives and I had to update them.
